Zoo vote for me, okay?

I'm not sure how, but the Johnson's Zoo has been nominated for the Best Humor Blog award. Ok, I guess I do know - I submitted the blog, but if you overlook my ego, it's still pretty cool. The blog, not me. I'm cool, too, but there is no point in stating the obvious. It would be like announcing to my two readers that Davey likes to break things, or that Angie just burns them.

Also very cool is the picture they decided to use. I had no influence over this - the admin guys at Blognet Awards chose it, but I could not have picked a better one. Angie absolutely hates it, which just triples the value in my book.

If you know my family at all, it will also be obvious that feeding 3 kids and wife number 1 ain't easy. There's real money behind this contest, even if it is in Canadian funny money, so get your vote on, eh?

Here is what you need to do if you ever want to receive another Christmas card from me:
  1. Register to vote: http://blognetawards.com/wp-login.php?action=register This takes all of ten seconds and you only need to provide a username (you can be creative) and an email address.
  2. Go to the Zoo's page: http://blognetawards.com/the-johnsons-zoo
  3. Vote! You can only vote once, so I won't be bugging the shit out of you to vote 10 times a day. Not unless I can figure out a way to tunnel through these Canadian rules.
  4. OPTIONAL: Add a witty comment - each month, there is also a money prize for the best comment, so think of a good one.
Thanks to the five who have already voted! Feel free to spam the hell out of your friends, family, and enemies on the Zoo's behalf.

And now, one last plea, David-style: You vote me now, okay?

  1. We are so glad that you like the image used for your nomination :-) The CEO Tim has a lot of fun getting the best image that he can so that everyones site will be viewed properly. We have a person who helps with part of the reviews and I put everything together. We really do enjoy doing what we do and feel that the combination of the reviews, the images and of course the SEO will be of lasting value to all nominations.
I wish you the best of luck in this months competition and warn Angie that if you dont win this months trophy then there is always the next months.
Oh just so you are aware we are a Canadian Company so Canadian Currency is the way we pay, mind you we have very pretty currency...wouldnt you agree?..lol

Thank you for your support again the best of luck to you.

    Best Regards

  2. Thanks Diane, Tim and BlogNet Awards!

If we don't make it this month, can you continue to use this picture in the next rounds? That is, of course, unless a more flattering picture of my wife comes along. You did such a great job with this one, though, that I completely trust your judgement when it comes to embarrassing pics.

It's been so long since I've seen Canadian currency....I'm not sure I can remember. Perhaps you guys can provide me with something that might help jog my memory... :-)

  4. Hi,

    Back again :-)

Here is some images of Canadian Currency http://bit.ly/ubpFe , of course you will see it in real ( so to speak)when you win.

In answer to your question, we will keep this image up and we are really glad you liked it..of course when an even better image of your wife is up, just let us know and we will do our best to change it( as time allows)

If you have any questions, just let me know and I will get an answer to you right away.

By the way, have you started to recieve our newsletter? We put it out twice a month. What is rather unique to most newsletters is that the BlogNet Even Newsletter is not "preformatted", we spend a lot of time doing the research and finding information that has been showing bloggers some great tips etc. ( this is coming from our readers...lol)not to mention free credits for the contest, if you havent registered ( we do that to make sure only people wanting to recieve will get the newsletter) here is the link : http://subscribe-now.blognetawards.com - that was my plug for the day :-)

    Best Regards,
    Administrative Director

  5. Anonymous: thanks, Frida! And yes, my kids still think I am the coolest. That will change once they can read and have access to the Web, I am sure. Thanks for the Happy Blogday wishes - it feels like I have been writing for more than a year. As for the millions - one Canadian dollar at a time...

Diane: the link did not work, but I was able to find a nice google image of a Canadian dollar - you guys have a loonie on it? That's awesome. If that doesn't fit perfectly with my family, I don't know what does. By the way, I have signed up for the newsletter, but it must be a slow news day - nothing yet.
